Good afternoon Green Ridge! We are excited to begin another school year! I would like to provide you with some valuable information as we begin to turn the corner and prepare for the start of school.
So, let me tell you about a few items:
1--We are going to begin school with masks being an optional accessory. Please click on the link to read our entire Re-Entry Plan for more information.

2--Student registration is next week, Tuesday Aug 10 - Friday August 13, 9am - 3pm
Elementary students that have not attended GR8 in the past will need to complete enrollment paperwork. New Kindergarten students need to register, but do NOT need to register if you attended kindergarten screening last spring.
JH/HS students-all students will need to register to complete their scheduling process. Please follow the following schedule to register on the appropriate date:
Tues Aug 10: Sr/Jr students
Wed Aug 11: So/Fr students
Thur Aug 12:All JH students
Fri Aug 13: Any remaining students that did not register
3--JH/HS Fall Athletics practices are beginning soon.
August 9: HS Soccer, HS Volleyball, HS Cross Country, HS Girls Golf
August 16: JH Volleyball (need more players), JH Cross Country
If you are interested in playing JH Soccer please call the front office. We did not have enough students interested in JH Soccer last year, but want to know how many may be interested this year.
4--Open House is on Monday, Aug 23 from 5pm to 7:30pm. Please plan to attend!
5--School begins at 7:55 am Tuesday August 24!!!

Ashlee Martin represented Green Ridge at the MCDA All-State Festival Choir in Springfield this summer. We are very proud of Ashlee and her accomplishments. Way to represent our GR8 school, Ashlee!

Harmony Camp! CHOREOGRAPHY!!! Our lovely choreographer, Torrie Shelley is back for another season! We are excited to have her with us. We are in love with the moves sheβs put together for us. 3 more days left! If you missed the first 2 days, it's no big deal. Come join us for Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 1pm-4pm.
Check out our GR8 band doing some partner work and introductions before digging into music at Band Camp. The kids are working hard and are playing really well.

GR8 Summer School Kids/Parents:
We received information from Catapult Learning (our summer school partner) that they sent two gift cards to each qualifying student instead of one. They are in the process of deactivitating one of the gift cards that each child received. They apologize for their error and state that if you would have additional questions, please contact Catapult Learning at 816-527-9170.
Attention GR8 music students!!!
Here is the schedule for upcoming camps, including information on what you should bring:
July 29 & 30, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. is 7-12th grade Drumline Camp.
All percussion students in band class should attend. Meet in the music room. Percussion students should bring cadences, marching band music, and sticks they may already have.
August 2-6, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. is 7-12th grade Full Band Camp.
All band students will meet in the music room. Band students should bring cadences, marching band music, flip folders, instruments, and drum sticks them may already have. Bring a water bottle and comfortable shoes for marching. Dress accordingly for weather!
August 2-6, 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. is 9-12th grade Harmony Camp. Harmony students will meet in the music room. Bring a water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress accordingly for weather!

At summer school we gave daily prizes, but 2 students with perfect attendance received an iPad! Congratulations Ariana and Kaesyn!
Congratulations to our Lady Tigers softball team! As a team we were recognized as an academic all-state team for having an average GPA over 3.3. Individuals receiving the honor had a cumulative GPA of 3.7 or higher and that included:

GR summer school students had some fun outside with friends and water balloons! It was fun to play in the sunshine today.
